Okay then, gather round, motherfuckers, cos Papa Ramma is gonna tell you about one of the most unique characters in comic book history. This here is Jack Hawksmoor. He was part of Stormwatch and then he was part of The Authority with loads of other badass motherfuckers. He’s also the former President of the US of A.

When he was a young boy he was abducted by humans from the 70th century. These future humans modified and augmented his body so he’d be able to defeat a Big Bad that was coming. He basically gets a vast array of powers and abilities when in a city environment. The description is kinda vague but it allows writers to come up with plenty of awesome crazy shit to do with cities. (The ship in The Authority is so vast that it counts as an urban environment)

So anyway

basic stuff he gets is super speed, super agility that would make spider-man weep, super strength, super durability, virtually invulnerable and can leap great distances.

Then comes the crazy stuff. He doesn’t eat food he eats pollution. He gains super senses and can like smell stuff from miles away. He can talk to the city. So like if someone was hiding somewhere he would know. He can command the city to do things i.e turn a sidewalk into liquid and basically swallow bad guys or make two buildings morph into a pair of hands and catch someone falling. He can swim through concrete like it is water. If a city gets fucked up then so does he. If he is fucked up and goes into a city he gets healed.

Then comes the even crazier stuff. He can teleport around a city or cities by walking through a mirror or window. He can look at a window and see everything that happened in front of said window that day.

And then comes the absolute craziest shit ever

Remember those pesky future humans and the Big Bad they were preparing him to fight?

That Big Bad was the city of Kansas from the far future which had come back in time to fuck us up.

So what did Jack Hawksmoor, The God of Cities do?

he fucking made the city of Toyko into a humongous humanoid battle suit and kicked the fuck out of it (linked because it’s lonnnngggggg)

Here he phases through a building and then punches a superhuman dudes head apart

Makes Superman feel a punch

Gets in a tussle with Midnighter and doesn’t get murdered in a second

Beating up a robot

Spider-man moves

Rips a metal door off its hinges and beats some motherfuckers with it

Travelling between cities in a cocoon

Commands some building to take out some motherfuckers

Commands Paris to swallow the bad dudes

Commands a gas main to blow and then drops a building on a motherfucker

Zap zap

Commands glass to carve up some motherfuckers

Jazz hands

Uses the eiffel tower to shaft some aliens

Basically.. do not fuck with Jack Hawksmoor because he will beat you to death with a building.

i love that this post/character is getting some mad love because he is an amazing character and deserves attention.
